Texas officials are looking for a suspect who allegedly shot and injured at least one person at a mall Tuesday night.
The unidentified man allegedly fired 10 gunshots at the Finish Line retail store in Killeen, Texas.
Killeen Police Charles Kimble said the victim suffered multiple gunshot wounds and was airlifted to a local hospital in stable condition.
“He was conscious and breathing when he left the helicopter,” Kimble said.
The incident was reported at 7:17 p.m.
Killeen Police warned residents to “stay away” from the area.
“Our officers are currently working a situation at the Killeen Mall,” the department said on Twitter. “We ask the community to please stay away from the area at this time.”
Terrified shoppers were caught on the store’s surveillance system, fleeing from the path of the gunman.
Kileen Police described the suspect as a white male who wore a white beanie, a white mask with dark clothing at the time of the shooting. There’s no indication if the shooting was a targeted attack.
“This is a very fluid situation,” Kimble said.
